Original Burger Bros.

Original Burger Bros.
Grilling BurgersThere’s only one real way to enjoy a burger – and that’s fresh while overlooking the gorgeous beach scenery.  You can find that luxury at Original Burger Bros., a place that offers fresh and hand-crafted foods.  That’s right.  This is one “burger joint” that serves their food the good-old fashioned way.  It’s clean, the food is fresh, and the people are friendly.  Click Here for InTown’s Listing of Original Burger Bros.

BurgerThis is a restaurant with history.  Keeping their family’s tradition alive and with the help of their father, Nick and Peter (the “bros”) began the Burger Bros. to carry on their belief that you can give your customers a great meal with fresh ingredients at inexpensive prices.  From homemade chili to their own brand of old-time fountain drinks, this place will give your palate a refreshing change to the “burger and fries” concept.  Click Here for InTown’s Gallery of Original Burger Bros.

Burger and FriesThe menu has something for everyone.  The onion rings are hand-cut and hand-made.  Turkey burgers, chicken burgers, and various styles of hot dogs will have you wanting seconds.  But leave room for dessert.  Their delightful root beer floats, shakes, and ice cream sundaes will be calling your name.  Eating fresh food while spending a day at the beach – I can’t think of a better way to spend my time.  Click Here for Original Burger Bros’ Facebook.

Le Petit Prince Cafe

Le Petit Prince Cafe
MenuThis café is going to be my new home!  Le Petit Prince had me when they began to make everything I ordered right before my very eyes.  It’s all fresh and delicious.  When you’re on Hollywood Beach, the perfect balance to the hot sun is a cold fruit smoothie (my favorite is the St. Tropez made with mango, banana, pineapple, and oranges) or shake filled with fresh fruits and ice cream.  Made to order, of course.  Click Here for InTown’s Listing of Le Petit Prince Café.

SandwichWhen you go to this café, you must order one of their sandwiches.  The generous-portioned sandwich is created with baguettes, vegetables, and your choice of meat and cheese.  After the wonderfully personable staff made my chicken salad sandwich, I couldn’t get enough of it.  Each bite was filled with wholesome goodness, which is such a rare find on Hollywood Beach.  Le Petit Café is truly a must-visit treasure.  Click Here for InTown’s Gallery of Le Petit Prince Café.

Fresh FoodOf course, I saved the best for last.  The talented people at the café can make the most incredible crepes.  Whether savory crepes (made with meats and veggies) or dessert crepes, these homemade treats go perfect with their freshly brewed espresso and coffees.  It would be a sin not to order the Kalahari, a crepe made with Nutella and fresh strawberries (I’m drooling as we speak).  After just one visit to Le Petit Prince Café, you’ll find yourself continuously coming back for more!  Click Here for Le Petit Prince Café’s website.

Hollywood Jet Ski

Hollywood Jet Ski
Jet SkiIf I could spend a day of fun on the beach, it would definitely have to include jet skiing, soaking up some sun, and then some more jet skiing.  There is nothing like it!  And no one does it like Hollywood Jet Ski.  Located directly behind the Marriot, the staff is efficient, friendly, and helpful.  That is, before they set you free for some fun. Click Here for InTown’s Listing of Hollywood Jet Ski.

Stout

Stout
Beautiful Bar Top and TVsStout is known as an Irish pub, but this place is so much more than that.  This venue screams casual but classy with it’s brand new décor and renovated design.  The bar has every drink imaginable, including your Irish favorites.  As you walk in, plasma televisions cover all the walls letting you know this is the ultimate spot to watch a sports game.  So kick back with a cool drink, and catch a great game at Stout’s.

Pool Table and TVsWhat’s a pub without some fun?  At Stout, the staff is friendly, fun, and their service is impeccable.  They make sure you have a great time and are very accommodating.  If you want a bite, you can sit in one of their comfortable booths that also come with it’s own television.  Just like the comforts of home.  Their new pool table is also in the back just waiting for a good game to happen. Click Here for InTown’s Gallery of Stout.

Steak FlatbreadStout provides an amazing menu of foods.  Classic favorites like a 14oz Sterling Silver New York Strip Steak and Grilled Chicken Wings are always a hit.  I would highly recommend their Seared Tuna Oriental Salad (perfection!) and Steak Flatbread followed by some dessert.  Chocolate Molten Cake, anyone?  If you catch the Irish spirit, Stout does not disappoint.  They keep the tradition alive here with fish & chips, bangers and mash, and shepherd’s pie.  Click Here for Stout’s Facebook Page.

O-B House

O-B House
Old Fort Lauderdale Breakfast HouseI have just found my favorite breakfast spot ever!  The only place to eat the most important meal of the day is at the Old Fort Lauderdale Breakfast House.  Located right next to The Museum of Discovery and Science & the AutoNation Building, you have the option to either drive your car or dock your boat.  The Old Fort Lauderdale Breakfast House loves the life of the sea!  Even their logo consists of a ship’s anchor.  Click Here for InTown's Listing of Old Fort Lauderdale Breakfast House.

Eggs and Spinach
Inside, the décor is simple and inviting, yet there are many hidden treasures, such as books by Hemmingway and classic photos of boats and fishing in Fort Lauderdale.  On the menu are even more treasures.  I highly recommend the divine (and healthy) “Poached and Roasted”, one of their breakfast specials, which consists of poached eggs, spinach, roasted potatoes, and fresh-baked bread.  Once you taste the food, you will quickly discover you’re not just another order number here.  This place cooks their meals with love, care, and to perfection.  Only high-quality food is served here.  Click Here for InTown’s Gallery of Old Fort Lauderdale Breakfast House.

PancakeWhat’s a breakfast without some pancakes?  If you haven’t been to the Old Fort Lauderdale Breakfast House, you haven’t tasted some real pancakes!  We’ve all seen them flipped in a pan.  But here, pancakes are made in a cast-iron skillet and then baked.  The result is heavenly.  You can smell the sweet aroma by just cutting it.  Ever detail here is accounted for.  The orange juice is freshly squeezed.  The food is made with the best and local ingredients.  Even the flowers on your table are fresh-cut.  Old Fort Lauderdale Breakfast House shows you how breakfast should really be done!  Click Here for Old Fort Lauderdale’s Breakfast House’s website.
