At 12:30 p.m. on a recent Sunday afternoon, Matt and I checked out the moderately-priced Sunday buffet brunch at Bimini Boatyard. As knowledge of local brunch spots is a top priority for Intown, we made it an official Intown 411 Events Team date!! The cost is $32.95 per adult and $13.95 for kids between the ages of 5 and 12-years-old, which doesn't make Bimini's fixed-price brunch the cheapest in town, but it's also not one of those brunches that calls itself "brunch" when it's really just breakfast.

Sunday Brunch Bimini Boatyard Fort Lauderdale: For the breakfast part of brunch, Bimini serves up made-to-order omelets, eggs benedict, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage as well as Bimini bread french toast and fresh fruit. The offerings were fresh and appetizing, but we were surprised that we couldn't find breakfast potatoes of any kind among the selections. Also, one alcoholic beverage -- mimosa or bloody mary -- is included with the brunch, which is excellent (and better than when brunches serve watered-down unlimited drinks), but we thought it strange that coffee was not included. These little issues were very easy to overlook once we started to explore the lunch offerings at Sunday Brunch Bimini Boatyard Fort Lauderdale. It's the seafood and the lunch food stations that really put the meal over the top. With snow crab, shrimp, oysters, made-to-order pasta, a large variety of salads, and a turkey and roast beef carving station, we decided that if the food was as good as it sounded, Sunday Brunch Bimini Boatyard Fort Lauderdale might just be the best value in town. We both ended the afternoon in the same way: with key lime pie tarts and different types of cheesecake from the dessert table. But, we started the meal with very different ideas in mind, as you can see below.
Matt's Brunch: Matt started off with eggs benedict, chicken breast, roast beef from the carving table, mozarella salad and two oysters. Matt's second round featured his favorite offering: a made-to-order omelet with spinach, sausage, red and green peppers and swiss cheese, which he said was "One of the better brunch omelets I've had."
Court's Brunch: I chose to emphasize breakfast on my first plate, which was filled with eggs benedict, scrambled eggs and plenty of bacon. I also tried the lox with capers and braved one oyster. I went heavy on the lox in the second round. The texture of the fish delighted me and the flavor, offset by the salty capers, was mild. That was my favorite item, but the bloody mary, I must say, was excellent as well. It wasn't a drinking day for me; but if it had been, I would have explored the make-your-own bloody mary bar.

Bimini Boatyard is in a class of it’s own! They will undeniably provide you with an exquisite and memorable dining experience. As I walked inside the venue, I was reminded of a tropical paradise. There are comfortably large chairs and couches for luxury seating, a blue décor reminiscent of the ocean, and coincidentally, a beautiful waterfront view. You can dine inside or on the patio. The view is beautiful either way. The food is just as pleasing. I highly recommend you start any meal with the World Famous Bimini Bread, a sweet, rich treat. It is the perfect compliment to their seafood chowder, served everyday. The chef’s signature seafood dishes, such as succulent lobster tails and Caribbean spiced salmon, are just as delectable as they sound. Bimini Boatyard is such a treat that many rent out their rooms for banquets, rehearsal dinners, and baby showers. Their gorgeous Bahamas room can hold up to 110 people. Perfect for a party! Looking for Sunday brunch? Bimini serves the best brunch at a great value. Their presentation alone will have you in awe. The life-size boat is perched inside and filled with fresh seafood. An omelet station lets you personalize your food, and icluded with brunch is a Bloody Mary, Mimosa, or Champagne. Bimini’s three bars also provide delicious specialty frozen drinks.
