Bimini Boatyard

Bimini Boatyard
Outdoor Dining by the DockBimini Boatyard is in a class of it’s own!  They will undeniably provide you with an exquisite and memorable dining experience.  As I walked inside the venue, I was reminded of a tropical paradise.  There are comfortably large chairs and couches for luxury seating, a blue décor reminiscent of the ocean, and coincidentally, a beautiful waterfront view.  Yes, you can pull up to Bimini by car or boat.  The dock boards right up to their patio bar and tables (the dolphin deck).  Click Here for InTown’s Listing of Bimini Boatyard.
Lobster, Fries, and ButterYou can dine inside or on the patio.  The view is beautiful either way.  The food is just as pleasing.  I highly recommend you start any meal with the World Famous Bimini Bread, a sweet, rich treat.  It is the perfect compliment to their seafood chowder, served everyday.  The chef’s signature seafood dishes, such as succulent lobster tails and Caribbean spiced salmon, are just as delectable as they sound.  Bimini Boatyard is such a treat that many rent out their rooms for banquets, rehearsal dinners, and baby showers.  Their gorgeous Bahamas room can hold up to 110 people.  Perfect for a party!  Click Here for InTown’s Gallery of Bimini Boatyard.
BarLooking for Sunday brunch?  Bimini serves the best brunch at a great value.  Their presentation alone will have you in awe.  The life-size boat is perched inside and filled with fresh seafood.  An omelet station lets you personalize your food, and icluded with brunch is a Bloody Mary, Mimosa, or Champagne.  Bimini’s three bars also provide delicious specialty frozen drinks.  Come in for their Happy Hour everyday from 4pm – 8pm.  The cherry on top at Bimini is the service.  It is absolutely exceptional and truly one of the best!  Click Here for Bimini Boatyard’s website.

Brunch: Bimini Boatyard

Brunch: Bimini Boatyard Fort Lauderdale
Bimini Boatyard Sunday Brunch, Weekly from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
At 12:30 p.m. on a recent Sunday afternoon, Matt and I checked out the moderately-priced Sunday buffet brunch at Bimini Boatyard. As knowledge of local brunch spots is a top priority for Intown, we made it an official Intown 411 Events Team date!! The cost is $32.95 per adult and $13.95 for kids between the ages of 5 and 12-years-old, which doesn't make Bimini's fixed-price brunch the cheapest in town, but it's also not one of those brunches that calls itself "brunch" when it's really just breakfast.
This article explores only the restaurant's brunch, but Bimini Boatyard is a popular seafood and steak restaurant and happy hour location among Fort Lauderdale locals every day of the week. See Intown 411's Bimini Boatyard listing!
Sunday Brunch Bimini Boatyard Fort Lauderdale: For the breakfast part of brunch, Bimini serves up made-to-order omelets, eggs benedict, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage as well as Bimini bread french toast and fresh fruit. The offerings were fresh and appetizing, but we were surprised that we couldn't find breakfast potatoes of any kind among the selections. Also, one alcoholic beverage -- mimosa or bloody mary -- is included with the brunch, which is excellent (and better than when brunches serve watered-down unlimited drinks), but we thought it strange that coffee was not included. These little issues were very easy to overlook once we started to explore the lunch offerings at Sunday Brunch Bimini Boatyard Fort Lauderdale. It's the seafood and the lunch food stations that really put the meal over the top. With snow crab, shrimp, oysters, made-to-order pasta, a large variety of salads, and a turkey and roast beef carving station, we decided that if the food was as good as it sounded, Sunday Brunch Bimini Boatyard Fort Lauderdale might just be the best value in town. We both ended the afternoon in the same way: with key lime pie tarts and different types of cheesecake from the dessert table. But, we started the meal with very different ideas in mind, as you can see below.

BreakfastMatt's Brunch: Matt started off with eggs benedict, chicken breast, roast beef from the carving table, mozarella salad and two oysters. Matt's second round featured his favorite offering: a made-to-order omelet with spinach, sausage, red and green peppers and swiss cheese, which he said was "One of the better brunch omelets I've had."

Oyster and Capers
Court's Brunch: I chose to emphasize breakfast on my first plate, which was filled with eggs benedict, scrambled eggs and plenty of bacon. I also tried the lox with capers and braved one oyster. I went heavy on the lox in the second round. The texture of the fish delighted me and the flavor, offset by the salty capers, was mild. That was my favorite item, but the bloody mary, I must say, was excellent as well. It wasn't a drinking day for me; but if it had been, I would have explored the make-your-own bloody mary bar.

Many area restaurants host brunch well into the early afternoon, so there's just no excuse to forego participating in this hybrid meal. Intown's top five picks range from cheap eats to fine dining, and we provide you with all the 411 on what each fine establishment offers.

Downtowner Saloon
Notes: Casual brunch, live acoustic blues, scenic.

Nestled on the Southern bank of the historic New River, where downtown Fort Lauderdale tends to be a bit quieter, The Downtowner Saloon is a charming spot to unwind and watch the boats go by – and those boats, which range from sleek yachts to the Jungle Queen riverboat, sure are spectacular. Downtowner Saloon's all-you-can eat brunch costs $12.99 and is served up buffet style, except for the eggs benedict, which come out piping hot from the kitchen upon request. Soars, enhance the ambiance at this ideal Brunch Fort Lauderdale setting with live music on the outdoor patio.

Aruba Beach Café
Notes: Casual brunch on the beach.
This beachfront restaurant in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea is a hotspot for dinner, drinks, and dancing. With DJs parties and nightly live music, it’s no wonder that that place draws a nice crowd to its never ending festivities, but the Sunday morning “Breakfast by the Sea” is not easily overshadowed by Aruba Beach Cafe's wild nights. The brunch comes complete with hearty options like scrambled eggs, eggs benedict, slice roast beef and tasty treats that manage to squeeze into the category of breakfast, such as strawberries and cream, tropical fruit salads and muffins. Aruba's breakfast runs every Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., so following up the biggest meal of the week with an afternoon at the beach is a no-brainer. Lips
Notes: Brunch and live entertainment for open-minded people
The brunch at Lips offers pretty straightforward late-morning fare such as eggs benedict, omelets, scrambled eggs and huevos rancheros for the breakfast-craving attendees and salads, burgers, and club sandwiches for those in the mood for a little lunch. Lips takes Brunch Fort Lauderdale to new levels with its gospel-themed drag show is anything but ordinary. Host Nicolette is a fast-talking Southern girl who will sass your grandmother, flirt with your husband and do just about anything else to keep the entire room mesmerized in between roof-raising performances of gospel diva tunes that inspire clapping and singing along. Champagne, bloody marys and mimosas are included with the cost of brunch. The drag performers double as your servers, so make sure you bring a couple of extra bucks to tip them at the table and then again when they shimmy around the show/dining room hustling tips like the showgirls that they are.

Bimini Boatyard
Notes: Casual elegance with treats for raw bar fans and dessert addicts
For over 20 years, Caribbean American restaurant Bimini Boatyard has been serving up fresh seafood and quality meats in a casual environment. Two decades of existence have given this restaurant plenty of time to hone its Brunch Fort Lauderdale. There are so many tantalizing options that you could forego the eggs and other breakfast items – but who would want to miss out on Bimini Bread French toast? – and head straight for the seafood station, stocked with snow crabs, smoked salmon, peel-and-eat shrimp and other fruits de mar or to the carving station for oven roasted turkey and roast beef. There’s a table with a variety of fresh baked breads as well as a dessert table with mini fruit tarts, mango cheesecake and pineapple cake. It’s fair to say that you won’t be able to try everything, but those 21 and over might want to try that complimentary mimosa, bloody mary or glass of champagne. Reservations are recommended.
