Angus Steakhouse

Angus Beefeater Steakhouse
AppetizerMention Angus Beefeater Steakhouse to someone who knows it and you're likely to get an effusive recommendation! Angus Beefeater features authentic Argentine cuisine and utilizes the traditional Argentine method of grilling Ă  la parrilla over oak wood and a bank of hot coals. This family owned restaurant has been in operation since the 1980s and has won many diners choice awards, including beast steaks in Hollywood!  Click here for InTown’s listing of Angus Beefeater Steakhouse!
EmpanadasThe appetizers at Angus Beefeater Steakhouse don't flirt with the trendy but go back to a more traditional (and more enjoyable) selection. The empanadas are a must. Our favorite is matambre de pollo, chicken rolled up around a filling of hardboiled eggs, ham and cheese, served sliced, with a cream sauve on the side. Do not forget to try their famous Chimichurri, served with every warm bread at every meal.  Click here for InTown's Gallery of Angus Beefeater Steakhouse.
SteakAll of the beef served at Angus Beefeater Steakhouse is Angus, and even less expensive cuts, like the skirt steak, have a deep beefy flavor. Stretched out lengthwise to what looks like a foot, it is juicy and chewy, a steak with texture.  And, for veggie lovers, try the spinach ravioli, we tried it with the cream sauce, which was amazing, but you have your choice from three different sauces. Click here for Angus Beefeater Steakhouse's website.

Reeves Coastal Cruises

Reeves Coastal Cruises
Steering a Bennington Pontoon“Cruising the waters lets you share a back porch with a millionaire.”  But you can do so much more than that at Reeves Coastal Cruises.  Located at the Westin Diplomat in Hollywood, Reeves Coastal Cruises offers you something the others don’t: Freedom.  Here, you have the choice to set your own hours.  Your favorite snacks and drinks will be provided (just tell them what you like).  Be your own captain and cruise on the scenic Intercoastal Waterway in a new 2011 Bennington Pontoon.  Click Here for InTown’s Listing of Reeves Coastal Cruises.
Sandbar Party in HollywoodThe beautiful pontoon at Reeves Coastal Cruises is spacious and provides comfortable seating (up to 13 people) so don’t forget to invite your friends and family aboard.  “There’s no better way to reconnect than on water.”  Set sail to your favorite tunes, enjoy the company, and admire the mansions, dolphins, and manatees along the way.  You can dock at a restaurant for some great food, or pull up to a sandbar and create your own mini-beach.  Either way, Reeves Coastal Cruises will ensure you have an amazing experience.  Click Here for InTown’s Gallery of Reeves Coastal Cruises.
Bennington PontoonOwned by Brad Reeves and his wife, NBC meteorologist Jennifer Reeves, you can’t find anything like Reeves Coastal Cruises.  Their fun personalities and Southern charm (Louisiana, to be exact) is truly refreshing, and their sole purpose is to make sure you have a great time.  Everything, from fuel, life jackets, towels, sunscreen, sodas, and snacks are included.  They offer specials, such as elegant sunset cruises, an early morning coffee cruise (they had me at coffee!), wedding parties, and family reunions.  They can even bring the boat to your hotel/resort so you can board dockside.  It’s hard not to have an incredible time when your every whim is catered to, as Reeves Coastal Cruises does.  Click Here for Reeves Coastal Cruises’ website.

15th Street Fisheries

15th Street Fisheries
15th Street Fisheries off the Intercoastal WaterwayFresh seafood, a beautiful water view with boats and yachts, and great service – these are the reasons 15th Street Fisheries has come to be so popular.  You can always count on them for a great dining experience in Fort Lauderdale.  From the moment you pull up, everything is taken care of.  The valet is complimentary.  When you walk into 15th Street Fisheries, the large bar, who serves happy hour drinks from 4pm-7pm (M-F), has friendly, hospitable bartenders ready to make a refreshing beverage.  Don’t forget to check out their $5 Happy Hour Menu.  Then, step outside to their dockside cafe and enjoy a view that will take your breath away. Click Here for InTown’s Listing of 15th Street Fisheries.
Shrimp Platter15th Street Fisheries is located right by the 17thStreet Causeway and Port Everglades so you can see the most luxurious yachts, the Jungle Queen, and Tropical Sailing’s Spirit of Lauderdale pass by.  15th Street Fisheries is even a stop on the Water Taxi, so you can arrive here by car or boat.  There's something for everyone on the menu, but I would personally recommend starting with the Peel and Eat Shrimp and the Caribbean Conch Salad.  The crab cake sandwiches, coconut fried shrimp, and grilled skirt steaks are also very popular.  At 15th Street Fisheries, you can also feed the tarpon on their dock. Click Here for InTown’s Gallery of 15th Street Fisheries.
Crab Cake SandwichIf you head up the stairs at 15th Street Fisheries, you will find a more elegant setting.  Yes, it’s like eating at two restaurants, but you can still enjoy that beautiful waterfront view.  Partake in their house made sangria and Chilean sea bass.  15thStreet Fisheries offers more than just great food.  Their events calendar always keeps you updated on their live performers.  15thStreet also offers a Summer Special: Three-Course Dinner for $35 from Sundays to Thursdays.  The specially prepared tasting menu is their chef’s most original and delicious creations.  Click Here for 15th Street Fisheries' website.

Bank Atlantic Center

Bank Atlantic Center
Jay-ZEveryone remembers their first time.  That magical moment when you get to watch your favorite artist perform or sports team play.  Yes, that first time at a show is always the best (What did you think I meant?).  In Fort Lauderdale, one of the most spacious venues to watch any show is at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise.  Unlike the others, parking is vast among this area and it will not take an hour wait just to reach the lot.  Click Here for InTown’s Listing of Bank Atlantic Center.
FansCome watch the beloved Florida Panthers at the Bank Atlantic Center.  Parking is free for hockey games so if you buy season passes, you will never have to worry about extra expenses (except food, of course).  The food at the Bank Atlantic Center is just what we all need at a good sports game – snacks and beer!  This is also the place to catch a great performance.  There is a capacity of over 20,000 so seating is not a problem, which is great news for the those One Direction and Justin Bieber fanatics (plenty of room, ladies).
Monster Jam GravediggerBelieve it or not, the Bank Atlantic Center can be transformed into a romantic venue as well.  Ask anyone who attended the John Legend and Sade concert (Lovers Rock).  A week later, you may see the Bank Atlantic Center modified for the ultimate monster truck obstacle course for Monster Jam (Coming August 17-18, by the way).  Check the events calendar and see what’s happening at the Bank Atlantic Center.  There’s always something for everyone here.  Click Here for Bank Atlantic Center’s website.

Tommy's Italian Restaurant

Tommy's Italian Restaurant
Chicken and PastaI have officially found my favorite Italian place!  It's Davie's best-kept secret, Tommy's Italian Restaurant, where the food is fresh, homemade, and amazing.  This restaurant had me enamored from the moment I walk in.  The decor is amazing (New York meets Italy).  Every detail is accounted for, especially their food.  Everything from the lunch to the dinner menu is cooked to order.  Even the desserts are made from a pastry chef.  First, it is an absolute must to start their meals with the MeatballTini, which are homemade meatballs beautifully placed in a martini glass.  Click Here for InTown's Listing of Tommy's Italian Restaurant.
DessertsTommy’s Italian has also made a gluten-free menu!  They’ve created gluten-free meals that include shrimp marinara, calamari scampi, and chicken bonapart (divine!).  Eat your soup in a one-of-a-kind mini-pot, and catch their dinner specials ($15 per person), which consist of their pasta of the day, pork chop bonapart, horseradish encrusted tilapia, and much more.  Once you’ve finished eating your delicious entrĂ©e, save room for dessert.  I highly recommend the heavenly, mouthwatering White Russians and mini-shots of tiramisu, key lime, and chocolate mousse.  Click Here for InTown’s Gallery of Tommy’s Italian Restaurant.
Italian RestaurantYou cannot find food like this anywhere!  They are personal recipes of Tommy’s and his daughter, Sabrina, who are each award-winning executive chefs in their own right.  Ask for the fresh-baked bread served with “schmutz” (Tommy’s name for an olive oil, cheese, and herb dip).  The feel of this family restaurant is warmly there.  The staff will bend over backwards to meet your every whim, which is quite refreshing.  They carry a vast knowledge in foods, including nutrition, and always have the answer for your dining satisfaction….or can pull a “life-line” to get it.  Tommy’s Italian Restaurant will also make surefire, homemade goodness for the kids (1/2 portion and ½ price).  Ask about their Little Chef classes on Saturday.  Stop by Tommy’s Italian Restaurant and I guarantee you will be coming back for more!  Click Here for Tommy’s Italian Restaurant’s website.
