Pops Corn

Pops Corn
In the same way that a scrumptious piece of popcorn explodes from the good contained within its kernel, the charming little neighborhood at A1A and Sunrise Boulevard, known as The Village on Fort Lauderdale Beach, is nearing the end of its transition into a bona fide destination for locals and tourists. Pops Corn and Yo Mama's Ice Cream is the newest beachfront business to make its mark in the area, and the store's hallmark is friendly customer service and a unique menu of sweet treats. From the sweet, salty and cheesy varieties of pop corn to the waffle cones and the make-your-own sundae bar, the dessert offerings are all made on-site in full view of the customers.
Pops Corn and Yo Mama's Ice Cream
A man strolls into Pops Corn and Yo Mama's Ice Cream, inhaling the aroma of a sweet batch of kettle corn popping. A family in beachy gear eats ice cream at the dine-in counter. He looks at the countertop displays of caramel corn and chocolate covered caramel corn for a moment.  Then, he walks alongside the counter, eyeing the ice cream toppings bar that's loaded up with mini brownies, cheesecake bites, assorted nuts, raspberries, blackberries, and, of course, caramel corn. He reaches the end of the line, a display case where he finds trays of Yo Mama's ice cream in flavors of strawberry, rocky road, mint chip and birthday party, among others. The various ways that one can satisfy a sweet tooth seem endless, and it's time to make a decision. He needs help. Co-owner Lee Feldman, who opened the store with his brother Lonnie, smiles at him and says, "This is how it works."
