St. Patrick's Day Parade

St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival Fort Lauderdale
St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival Fort Lauderdale, Las Olas Boulevard and Huizenga Plaza, Saturday, March 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Every St. Patricks Day, folks of various backgrounds manage to find a touch of Irish deep within. It's a wee urge that drives them out of the house to join others in outlandish green garb, beer swilling behavior and carefree fun. The City of Fort Lauderdale celebrates Ireland's patron saint with a St. Patrick's Day paradedown Las Olas Boulevard and an all-day festival in Huizenga Plaza. Look for food and beer from the area's best local Irish pubs as well as live music, dancing and general revelry. Grand Marshall Wini Amaturo, a local philanthropist who actively promotes arts and education in the area, leads a parade that includes the NYPD Pipe and Drum Corp, Irish dancers, high school bands and floats from local businesses. A traditional Irish blessing at Huizenga Plaza kicks off the festivities at 11:30 a.m.
